Latest Blood Tests: Mental Health at its lowest ebb-desperate

I had a my latest bloods today, the last week or so in particular have probably been the worst mental health I have ever been in, competitive with how I felt directly after being put on Levothyroxine. feeling manic, feeling completely unable to swallow, tiredness, unable to do anything, severe brain fog, severe irritability, etc.

Numbers were as follows.

Free T3 (pmol/L Range: 3.1-6.8) 5.41

TSH (mU/L Range 0.27-4.2) 1.21

Free Throxine (pmol/L Range 12-22):18

Testosterone (nmol/L): 20.4

My GP has said to me today that all vitamins are normal, folate and B12 in the high end of normal. Doctor thinks it is a mental health issue. I am considering reducing dose since symptoms have proved more managable on lower dose, or some kind of adrenal issue. Going to book another endo appointment soon.

Can you also post your vitamin results with ranges?

Free T4 (fT4) 18 pmol/L (12 - 22) 60.0%

Free T3 (fT3) 5.4 pmol/L (3.8 - 6.8) 53.3%

What time was your blood test and did you remember to take Levo after the blood test on that day?

I would say that you're under replaced. I know it probably doesn't feel like that and it can be terribly confusing as there is a huge cross over of symptoms from hypo to hyper But going by blood results you need a bit more Levo. Your FT4 is not even in the upper quarter yet.

Most people feel well when their TSH is at or just under 1. Yours is still over.

Do you have Hashi's and have you ever tried the dietary changes of strictly gluten free diet and also dairy free? Speaking for myself they have made all the difference symptom wise.

Not what you're looking for?
