When did you take your last doses of Levo and T3 before the test? Was it as we advise, ie 24 hours for Levo and for T3 split dose the day before into 2 or 3 and take last part of dose 8-12 hours before test?
No biotin or any supplement containing biotin for 3-7 days before testing?
If so your results suggest undermedication with FT4 at the bottom of it's range and FT3 45.95% through range. On combo meds it's very individual where we each need our hormone levels, some are fine with a low FT4 as long as FT3 is in the upper part of it's range, others need them fairly well balanced over half way through range.
How do you feel?
I can't comment on the Gamma GT result, probably best to discuss with your GP as it's over range.
thank you for your reply 🙏
yes last levo dose was 24 hrs/ the previous morning and T3 is split
so last dose was 17 hrs before blood draw.
No biotin in week before bloods.
My t4 has been low in range for quite some time
But I thought that was due to taking T3.
T3 usually higher than this latest result.
I’ve noticed swollen ankles since February
And sluggish bowel, extreme exhaustion and lots to stiffness and pain.
Gp, says osteoarthritis
I’m also on HRT. Do you think a small rise in levo is worth trying?

Yes, taking T3 does lower FT4 but as I said above we are all different as to where we need both of our hormones. FT4 at the bottom of the range would not be right for many on combo meds.

Because you've left 17 hours you have a lower than normal FT3 result, 8-12 hours is the recommended time gap. If you always leave 17 hours and your FT3 is lower than before then what was it before?

Is he saying osteoarthritis based on those symptoms? I wouldn't have thought osteoarthritis caused sluggish bowel and exhaustion.
How are your key nutrients? Low vit D causes muscle and joint pain and stiffness.
I’m also on HRT.
What form of HRT? Tablets? If so when do you take them as they should be taken at least 4 hours away from Levo as it affects absorption of Levo and often an increase in dose of Levo is needed when on HRT.
Do you think a small rise in levo is worth trying?
Yes. Retest 6-8 weeks after increase.
yes this is my normal med routine before blood draw, so there is a change/drop in T3 results
I’ll have to dig out my last results
I’m on a hormone gel applied at bedtime so shouldn’t affect the results either
I take 10,000 vitamin D3 daily along with k2
I’ll rise my Levo to 150 daily? Or every other day? Do you think?
Many many thanks 😊
I've had abnormal liver function test results and I believe that they are linked with thyroid issues.

I have an enzyme in my liver not working. I so this what you had?
I've had two or three outside reference range results, GGT, ALT and AST (I think) over many years now.

Hello klr31. Thanks for your reply. You have put my mind at rest as I was worried. I don’t know the names like you do, just that there was one enzyme that wasn’t right.
Not really. I had Hep A years ago in my 20s and had symptoms then. This was before I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's.

My eyes went yellow and my face had a yellowish tinge but apart from that I wasn't too unwell. I think I must have eaten something bad or it was due to a virus. This was years before I got Hashimoto's. I had to take antibiotics, I think. The scan may be to check if you have a fatty liver as I believe that can affect test results.
