I brought these B complex vitamins, they are to big for me to swallow, someone on here advised to empty capsules into a cup the put in hand and take that way drinking water afterwards. I tried this and it tastes horrible, any suggestions as to how I can take this?
B complex: I brought these B complex vitamins... - Thyroid UK
B complex
Add to a spoonful of yogurt or something else you like - honey, jam, marmite?????? Not tried it myself that way, that just popped into my head.
Thank you will try thatDo you know if theres a good b complex that you can buy in liquid form?
I want to make sure I'm getting allthe correct amounts I need, I'm following the advice on here strictly .
Had my T4 and T3 blood test at GP surgery last hoping to get results tomorrow will post on here when I have them.
I can't recommend any as I've not used a liquid form but I've had a look and those I've looked at do seem to have different amounts of some of the individiual vitamins than you'll find in Thorne or other capsules/softgels.
Have you tried a softgel? I find these go down easier than capsules but they're not necessarily smaller.
Some liquid brands which you might want to check out and see if the dose of the individual vitamins are what you're happy with
Pink Tribe (from Amazon)
Vitablossom (from Hemp Outlet)
The above two are liposomal B Complex and there are quite a few of us who use their softgel versions.
Other liquid brands
Metabolics
Yoga Nutrition
Epigenics
Then there's oral spray such as Better You
Check them out and see what you think, remember that for regular use it's recommended no more than 10mg B6 daily and avoid folic acid (look for folate/methylfolate) and cyanocobalamin (look for methylcobalamin/adenosylcobalamin).
I can’t swallow capsules either
Tip powder into cup - then on to hand - put powder on tongue (yes tastes and smells awful)
Quickly Swallow with orange juice or something similar that has strong taste
Rinse mouth out quickly as colour will stain your teeth
I used to have real problems gagging when taking tablets and capsules. I found the best way was to have a large glass of water and try to tip a large glug down my throat with the pill. And something that tastes nice on hand in case needed.
Then I got prescribed something I had to take daily for the first time and I just got used to swelling a pill or capsule. Now I can swallow a Thorne capsule and my fish oil capsule at the same time without problem. So if you persevere, I think you can get used to it.
That probably wasn’t very helpful, was it?
I didn't have the Thorne brand, but I found my tablets to be way too large - I think even a horse would agree - so I wrote to the company & they gave me full refund; maybe another brand someone could suggest
