Far Infrared Cocoon

Hello! I have been on T4 and T3 for 30 years and feel well. Recently, I bought a Far Infrared Cocoon. I didn't buy it to help my thyroid specifically. It was more for general well being for me and my son. We have both loved using it for about a month. It has certainly helped me with achy shoulders and neck.

Anyway, here is the possible issue. I have started sleeping badly. I am wondering if it has over stimulated my thyroid? I get really easily over stimulated. For example if I take spirulina I go out of whack, ditto the B vits. Plus I have a history of not sleeping well from having a child who had me up in the night to going through menopause and being hit by insomnia. However, all was good, I was sleeping well. Then a month after using the mat I have had some really bad sleep. I have tried to research on the internet but it's quite easy to prove or disprove anything if you look for long enough!!

Does anyone have any words of wisdom to share? In the short term, I have stopped using the mat!

Thanks in advance. Jacqui :)

This is "speculation" - you say you go "out of wack" with e.g. B vitamins - that is suggestive that your methylation system is not functioning properly. The pod has shifted "stuff" and your neck and shoulder aches have eased but some of the "stuff" that has been released will likely still be in circulation (whilst waiting its place in the exit queue) so perhaps your disrupted sleep is related to that i.e. your body might be doing a little more cleaning work during the dark hours. I expect because you have a history/memory of the true awfulness of sleep disruption/insomnia, you might be in a slight panic mode when you go to bed because the bad sleep pattern seems to have reappeared. I hope that makes sense - as I said, it's just speculation.

How long ago did you use the mat? Has you sleep returned to how it was before?
