As you have discovered, the manufacturers wont confirm the ingredients so nobody can say for sure.

This is a list that is circulating but cannot be confirmed:

Thyroid extract USP

Lactose (a milk sugar and is a filler)

PVP K90 (Polyvinylpyrolidone; water soluble coating/binder; no known hazard)

Avicel (microcrystalline cellulose; holds product together)

Aerosil (silicic acid powder; help disperse the ingredients)

Sodium starch glycolate (helps dissolute/disintegrate the pill)

Magnesium stearate (filling agent)

Eudragit (a common sustain-released coating)

Methocel (a water soluble cellulose – helps bind pill)

Talcum (a filler)

Ponceau 4r lake (red additive-aluminum)

Tartrazine lake (yellow additive-aluminum)

Brilliant blue FCF lake (blue additive-aluminum)

Sunset yellow FCF (yellow additive)

Titanium dioxide (white)

PEG 6000 (water soluble polymer; binder)

Dimethicone solution

My list is the same which is quite old when I started taking Thyroid s. It could be that now the pills have changed there could be something different now.

There has been a rumour about Thyroid-S now containing mannitol (which would explain why some feel it no longer works the same). This was discussed on a blog run by a thyroid patient who ended up contacting Sriprasit herself. Their reply: no, TS does not contain mannitol. I am not sure how the rumour started, but there has been a lot of discussion about a change in TS in the past year or so. My supplier even advises people to go off it and take VitaliThy instead due to "a number of complaints from formerly happy TS users".

The list of fillers above is the only one I have ever seen and I first saw it on the STTM website years ago. They also had a list of fillers in Thiroyd. Not sure if the lists are accurate or not. But, even if TS contains a lot of fillers, there does not seem to be any known hazards.

I am newish to Thyroid S, still on my first 500 bottle and I really like it so far. Far better than t3 t4 combo from the Endo. However, it did not help when my t3 was slightly over and endo deduced my t3 by 1/3 ! Hot sweats, waking at 3 to 5.30 am and often not getting back to sleep, massive increase of palpitations too.
