The NHS frequently only test TSH, sometimes FT4 but as thyroid patients we know that doesn't give a full picture.
Are you diagnosed as being hypothyroid?
Do you have symptoms of being hypothyroid?
Your TSH is below 2 so in someone untreated it would be seen as healthy and a good level but as I mentioned before it doesnt give a complete picture at all. To see all the levels we need - TSH, FT4 & Ft3, also antibodies are good to know if positive or not - members of this group pay for private blood tests. See link for companies offering private blood tests & discount codes, some offer a blood draw service at an extra cost. thyroiduk.org/help-and-supp...
Hi i had blood tests on 25th april. Text from gp surgery asking me to make an appt to discuss the results which is tuesday 9th may. So i dont know anything yet, but pharmacist reckons i have low tsh level.
Looking at other posts …..you have low iron/ferritin
ESSENTIAL to test vitamin D, folate, B12 and ferritin
Low vitamin levels tend to lower TSH
I was diagnosed last year with IBD and blood tests revealed iron, b12 and ferritin were all low so i was prescribed iron tabs and calcium tablets for 6 weeks, this was in September. Until i see gp on the 9th may, I dont know what blood tests have shown. But researching a reading of 0.61 tsh level, i think its low as the normal range is 0.4 - to 4mIU.
Gut issues are EXTREMELY common when hypothyroid, especially with autoimmune thyroid disease (hashimoto’s)
ALWAYS Test thyroid levels early morning, ideally around 9am
For full Thyroid evaluation you need TSH, FT4 and FT3 tested
Also both TPO and TG thyroid antibodies tested at least once
Very important to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 at least once year minimum
Please add results and ranges of B12, folate, vitamin D, iron and ferritin from last year
You are legally entitled to printed copies of your blood test results and ranges.
The best way to get access to current and historic blood test results is to register for online access to your medical record and blood test results
UK GP practices are supposed to offer everyone online access for blood test results. Ring and ask if this is available and apply to do so if possible, if it is you may need "enhanced access" to see blood results.

In reality many GP surgeries do not have blood test results online yet
Alternatively ring receptionist and request printed copies of results. Allow couple of days and then go and pick up.
Important to see exactly what has been tested and equally important what hasn’t been tested yet
