I understand that it has to be venous because of potassium being unstable as a 'finger prick'. Most sites add phlebotomist which I dont need.
Hoping you can help, every best wish to you all, thank you,G

Gillybean1,
If you include potassium within your electrolyte panel you will need to go to a clinic because it requires centrifuging within two hours.
I don't know what area you are in but here are two clinic offering the test -

Hi Radd,
Nice to hear from you again, thank you.
Yes ive been reading about the potassium centrifuge, and order a test earlier this week from onedaytests.com a very helpful company for future reference. I cant actually get out at the moment, and they seemed to be happy to centrifuge within 4-6 hrs at their lab (ie provided it was couriered same day over) if a mobile phlebotomist couldnt centrifuge it.
Its interesting that in past years at the GP's a electrolyte blood draw in the early morning would be sitting in a tray till 3pm until transported to the hospital labs and dealt with some 8hrs+ later.
Thank you for taking the time to respond, every best wish G.
