I’ve done a stupid thing.
Thinking I still had another box of Levo, I went to open it last night and there wasn’t one so I couldn’t take anything.
Ordering from Lloyds will take almost a week, so I’m wondering if I’d be ok to wait that long without any?
My husband is all for taking me round to the surgery but it’s his birthday today and I don’t want to ruin it by having him worry about me.

The pharmacy that you usually use can supply you with up to 30 days of Levo, actually any pharmacy can do that. I would recommend continuing to take your Levo if you possiby can to avoid symptoms.

I don’t use one, I order online.
Just go to a local pharmacy and take a repeat prescription slip with you or an old Levo packet.
Just got back, earlier I managed to find an old prescription form that had May’ 23 date on it so took that along with box.
Lovely pharmacist told me he wasn’t allowed to give emergency supply unless it was a Saturday when seeing a GP wasn’t possible.
I explained everything to him, so then he wrote (and ink stamped) out a letter for me to hand in to reception at the surgery. At reception I asked for it to be passed to either of the two doctors I see about my thyroid, but both they plus another of the doctors are out of the surgery today.
But hopefully, with any luck I should be able to collect it from the pharmacy this afternoon. I have to ring to find out.

It's a nuisance I know and time consuming but a week without Levo would leave you pretty unwell in a few weeks time. Better that you take the time today to get a supply sorted. Fingers crossed for you.

I was going to say your lovely husband would be worrying about you anyway regardless if it was his birthday or not. Lucky woman with a man who loves you.
For the record, in case anyone else reads this thread, a week without levothyroxine is definitely to be avoided.
Despite it being regarded as a "storage" hormone, your levels would drop substantially and you could feel terrible.
However, as we are all different, some would do worse than others!
It was a real pest in the end yesterday.
After I had dropped the letter the pharmacist wrote at the surgery, I told the receptionist that the prescription had to be sent through to *** because I had to get it that day. It’s all electronic these days so you can’t even pick one up yourself. So I saw her write that on the bottom of the letter.
Later on not having heard back, I tried calling the chemist 3 times but with no answer. So I called the surgery instead to enquire as to whether it had been sent through yet… I was told yes, it had been sent to Lloydsonline!!!
You can probably imagine what I replied, so I was told that it would redirected to the chemist, and I put the phone down relieved that it was sorted...but oh no! that wasn’t the end of it, not one teeny bit.
We drove over to the chemist again, in there they could find no mention whatsoever of the said prescription. Before we had left to go over there (it was in the next village) I had received an email from Lloydsonline telling me that they had received the order and did I still want it? But at the bottom it said that if I wanted to collect locally I could ask for the barcode.
When they couldn’t find anything in the chemist I told the assistant that, ok I had received an email and could access the barcode, so I would go back get it and bring it in. We went home, I applied for the code, printed it out and we drove back.
I finally got it, but there was one box missing because of low stock so I have to go back and collect it next week after they call me.
Honestly! 3 times in the end driving back and forth and all because I forgot to order my Levo. I won’t be doing that again in a hurry that’s for sure. Luckily my husband was good about it and said what must be, must be.
We had strawberries and icecream for tea. 😍
How ridiculously difficult for what was, after all, a very simple issue.

My GP prescribes a 28 day supply at a time, but my re-ordering window opens after 21 days. If I order promptly at 21-ish days, I can fairly quickly build up a little buffer. Might be worth looking at?
I normally receive 3 months at a time, but I had increased my dose at Christmas. Even though I spoke to a doctor afterwards and explained why I had done that, apparently he hadn’t written it on my notes. Consequently they were finished sooner than my Lloyds reminder arriving.
Last June another doctor who had never seen me, took fright at the TSH figure on my blood test and put me down to 75 mcg. That blood test had been at a different time to all my others so it was bound to be different. I had been fine on 100mcg for such a long time, but he insisted I was wrong to stay on it.
So from the June until Christmas I was suddenly back to so many symptoms that I decided enough was enough and went back to taking 100mcg again off my own bat. I was back to my normal self after that and told them so.
But I shall need to get in touch with one at some point and get things straightened out.
Hi i would go into Lloyd's and explain im sure they would give you some or phone your health centre and they will sort you out but i certainly wouldnt go without. X

Let him take you to the surgery, health comes first. He will only spend his day worrying otherwise.
