Three years ago private functional doc apps and tests. She said always take b12 whatever the results as the parameters are not good enough or accurate and you always need. More
Iodine controversial I know. Taken for years Recently had spell off it to see,..I felt I went downhill very much so…and after about three months reinstated it and have started to pick up. Of course it proves nothing..but I must use my gut instinct,,.and of course also Dr P and other experts always recommended that basic dose …but even that posssibly proves nothing ..and perhaps it’s simply we are all different. When tested wirh the private doc she said I was deficient and told me to take one half an iodoral for a few months and then return to my normal 150 mcg.
Based on this lot, what do you think is the most efficient way for me to boost ferritin and folate…
If only eating good food would work for us! It's the low stomach acid giving us malabsorption issues unfortunately.
I'd recommend you get your iodine level tested if you are supplementing. As you know its controversial but we should always test before supplementing anyway.
People buy the Iggenus B complex because it looks cheaper then realise that the dose is 2 tablets a day which makes it more expensive, then end up taking half the dose. This one is probably the cheapest out there, contains 90 one a day capsules. Perhaps buy this one next time for a full dose each day. amazon.co.uk/Liposomal-Soft...
You may need to add in a separate methylfolate, you can buy 400mcg capsules and many cheaper brands to choose from.
Ferritin is really a matter of concentrated effort in adding iron rich foods more often to your diet. Chicken livers, pate, red meat.
no…I got muddled ..I take the Jarrows B12 not the folate…ok..I’ll see to this and have just ordered ro one you suggested ..it looks brilliant…im so grateful.
