Blood Test Results..Help anyone please..

These are latest private tests…

I’m 73 and been diagnosed since 45 ish but always had symptoms…

Hashimotos…

Faulty DIO2 gene.

Currently taking Levo 25

Maetavive 111x2

X3 on Monday Wednesday and Friday

Thyroid results significantly better than last November 3 when serum tsh was 14.3 and serum free t4 was 12.2 and ft3 was not done.

My biggest issue for so many years is inability to raise to the right point without ghastly symptoms and showing Hyperthysoidism.

so yes.. I constantly have to address iron etc etc…

Will welcome any comments.

many thanks everyone.

Free T4 (fT4) 15.2 pmol/L (12 - 22) 32.0%

Free T3 (fT3) 3.89 pmol/L (3.1 - 6.8) 21.4%

So your free numbers are pretty low. You really do need an increase.

Are you taking any supplements at the moment, if so what?

Ferritin needs a bit of work to get it to 100.

D3 is good.

Folate almost deficient. Need to aim for 20.

B12 over range, not sure if you are taking a supplement?

Hello Jaydee, it’s kind of you to comment .

Yes..I take supps I reckon all best quality to my knowledge and that can afford.

B complex (IGENNUS brand from Amazon ) but only one a day

B12 Jarrows best one Mon Wed and Fri

C 500 x2 daily am and pm

D 3 3000

E jarrows best famili e 400 x1

Organic iodine 150 mcg.

Magnesium synergy x1 scoop a day.

Two sachets of SPATONE in orange juice when I remember! Not very often.

Three years ago private functional doc apps and tests. She said always take b12 whatever the results as the parameters are not good enough or accurate and you always need. More

Iodine controversial I know. Taken for years Recently had spell off it to see,..I felt I went downhill very much so…and after about three months reinstated it and have started to pick up. Of course it proves nothing..but I must use my gut instinct,,.and of course also Dr P and other experts always recommended that basic dose …but even that posssibly proves nothing ..and perhaps it’s simply we are all different. When tested wirh the private doc she said I was deficient and told me to take one half an iodoral for a few months and then return to my normal 150 mcg.

Based on this lot, what do you think is the most efficient way for me to boost ferritin and folate…

I eat very good food .

Thankyou Jaydee.

If only eating good food would work for us! It's the low stomach acid giving us malabsorption issues unfortunately.

I'd recommend you get your iodine level tested if you are supplementing. As you know its controversial but we should always test before supplementing anyway.

People buy the Iggenus B complex because it looks cheaper then realise that the dose is 2 tablets a day which makes it more expensive, then end up taking half the dose. This one is probably the cheapest out there, contains 90 one a day capsules. Perhaps buy this one next time for a full dose each day. amazon.co.uk/Liposomal-Soft...

You may need to add in a separate methylfolate, you can buy 400mcg capsules and many cheaper brands to choose from.

Ferritin is really a matter of concentrated effort in adding iron rich foods more often to your diet. Chicken livers, pate, red meat.

Thankyou so much Jaydee, I’ve taken all this on board and shall implement. Thanks

Just as a by the way, the doctors comments that came with my results seemed ludicrous as Youd never know I’d already told them I was hashis etc etc.

They suggested b12 too high but as I’ve said Dr Goodman said you wont overdose as you’re hashis and need it.

I already take Jarrows Methylfolate 400 but not every day a i said.

Oh well …back to work on it then . Very best wishes to you and thanks again .
