Where should the following vitamin levels be within the ranges:

B12

Vitamin D

Ferritin

Folate

And any others that I am not aware of that are important for the thyroid.

Also, do you have to take these vitamins separately if deficient and not in multivitamin form?

Thank you

As a rough guide vits should be over half way through range and heading into top third of range. If there is no range and just a greater than sign and a number then aim to be double that number.Only take the vitamins in which you are deficient. Multivitamins tend to be poor quality and they will contain things you don't need to supplement and often iodine. Multis often contain things which shouldn't be taken together because they interfere one with the other such as vit c and b12.

Thank you for your detailed response. I have learnt a lot from this and what the best course of action is regarding vitamin supplements.

Thank you for your reply. I only take vitamin D at the moment and primrose oil. Do I need more vitamin D if it is at adequate levels? I don’t eat red meat. Can I improve ferritin levels by other dietary forms?

Also, can I ask why I would need a vitamin B complex when it is halfway through the range?

Thank you
