Just wanted to ask for people's experiences of the potency of Tiromel 25mcg. I am currently taking Thybon Henning 20mcg (I take 40mcg a day) but have a box of Tiromel and was advised I may need to increase my dose if I switch to it.
Any help much appreciated.
Thanks,
Kathryn

I found them of equal potency. Thybon feels better and more ‘gentle’ perhaps because it is liothyronine hydrochloride whereas all other tablets are liothyronine sodium.
Thybon just feels more gentle but equally effective. Other brands seem to give a bit of an 'edge'. I wonder if the slightly different formulation allows Thybon to be absorbed more slowly. I couldn't find any documentation about the pharmacokinetics of Thybon so can't confirm this.
Thank you for that jimh111. I have just been prescribed it. My last lot (self medicated Uni Pharma) went disastrously wrong - my own fault. I am now starting again but apprehensive. Your experience is comforting.
