I had just started Thybon through a Canadian supplier when access to the UK was stopped. Desperate to continue and order from Germany direct. The only and biggest problem for me is to find a doctor who privately prescribes T3 as Thybon in Germany is prescription only. Would anybody know of a doctor in the Winchester/Southampton area??
Please could someone pm me if they know of a doctor? Thanks so very much!!

My GP gave me a liothyronine prescription which I took to Lloyds and asked if they could get Thybon Henning. I've just come back from the chemist and after speaking with their wholesaler I was told I needed an additional letter from my GP as to why I needed the medication and also the cost for 50 tablets would be £168. Somebody is making a great deal of money as the cost in Germany is under £30 for 50 tabs. GP not happy with my T3 blood test wants me to see endo. Next free endo appointment is in April 2019! - Wish I never left Germany!
Anyway I have to find some kind doctor who doesn't cost the earth as I'm on a state pension. There are so many more questions I have but I think I'll call Bennewitz for some advice. Thank you Maisie for replying to me!!
Thanks Maisie, that's what I want to do but need a private prescription that's why I need to find a doctor in my area who would prescribe T3 privately and I can then send the script to Bennewitz.
Am I being stupid? Would they just accept my NHS prescription?
Whilst we are still in the EU you can have your NHS prescription dispensed elsewhere within the EU subject to that country's dispensing rules ie it would not be free of charge/chargeable to the NHS:
"Pursuant to Article 11(2) of Directive 2011/24/EU, the Commission has an obligation to adopt measures to facilitate the recognition of medical prescriptions issued in a Member State other than the Member State where the prescriptions are dispensed."
"In the UK I have a medical exemption certificate which means that I don't have to pay for my prescriptions. Can I use this certificate when I go on holiday?
NO - This certificate is only for use within the UK. If you're on holiday in another EU country and have a prescription from your home country, you will normally have to pay for your pharmaceutical product."
The reason people obtain a private prescription is presumably because once an NHS prescription is provided it can lawfully be used within the NHS system, so the private prescription prevents that; but if you have an NHS prescription it's fine to use it in effect "privately", within the EU.
Your explanation was such an eye opener. Like me, I think many people don't realise the practical repercussions of the unbelievably stupid decision to leave the EU. Despite The People's Vote marches, Brexit looks set to go ahead unless..... wishful thinking here!
Great to talk to you, Maisie!
Good Night
There are couple of private doctors in Winchester for your prescription just goggle ( Private Doctors Winchester) sorry I cannot remember their names it's some time ago that I was there.
