Hi all
Wondered if anyone can help me understand a bit better what's going on with my thyroid levels?
Back in August, TSH was 1.01 (NHS didn't test for anything else) then in September 4 weeks later it was up to 3.13. I did an earlier post about these tests and had input from members.
At my apointment with the NHS endo on 11 October, I asked why TSH was trebling in such a short space of time and got a load of tosh about different assays and the 'importance of using an accredited laboratory' - because the UK labs are renouned for being unregulated fly-by-nights... I get that there's natural fluctuation, but totally paranoid about the 2.5 upper limit for fertility/pregnancy. Endo also started spouting that there's debates ongoing about the upper limit being 'fine' at 3.5...
Anyho, I digress.
I know the % through ranges are not great for the NHS test on 04/10, and even worse for Monday's private blood test.
Not overly pleased with antibody levels; think it's as a result of 'gluten binging' when I had the last miscarriage (Sept), then moving onto GF at home but maybe eating it unsuspectingly when at friends/eating out and in hospital they didn't have anything else to offer me than 'toast' :(.
I know BTF references raised/positive TPOs increasing risk of miscarriage - has anyone got relatively recent papers/resources that cover this in more details that you can share links with me please?
Has anyone with Hashis and both antibodies been able to get levels right down, and stay down? If so, how did you manage to do this and how long might it take?
I'm taking Jarrow B-Right - and thinking given levels reported, I maybe need to drop to 1 a week or 1 every 4 days, rather than daily? Any advice please?
