Hi

I have a 3 month re-test bloodtest next friday and wondered if i should stop taking any of my supplements, apart from the B complex? i also take iron, vitamin c, vitamin d3 + k2 and occasionally magnesium ( i keep forgetting 😳)

Thanks 😊

Just stop the B Complex 3-7 days before the test. The others you can continue but take after the test on the day.

If there is any chance that there could be an iron or Ferritin test then stop your iron supplement 7days before and fast for 12 hours before the test.

I would try and remember your magnesium daily as this helps the body convert D3 into it's usable form.

Thanks SeasideSusie 😁 i should be getting the same tests done as 3 months ago so hopefully iron will be tested 🀞 can i ask how many hours i should leave between taking vitamin d3 and magnesium?

Magnesium is calming and best taken in the evening. Some people find D3 can affect their sleep. So it's probably sensible to take them at different times of the day but other than that there is no reason to separate them. Remember that both should be taken 4 hours away from thyroid meds.
