Hi all, after my last bloodtest i was advised to reduce my levo dose by 12.5mcg 3 days a week, as per my last post i proper messed up and reduced by 37.5mcg 3 days a week instead 🙄 didn't realise until the day of my test. Also i forgot to stop taking my B complex 🙄 I did at least remember to take my last levo 24 hours earlier and fast before my 8.30am test 🥳
I did have a text message off my dr this morning saying that i am still over medicated and to reduce my dose again. She didn't say what to because apparently she doesn't know what dose i'm on even though i told her what i was doing.
TSH 0.01 mU/L (0.30 - 4.20)
T4 17.9 pmol/L (9.0 - 19.0)
T3 4.8 pmol/L (3 - 5.4)
Any advice on what to do next will as always be greatly appreciated 😁 i am very very tired atm (thought it was the menopause 😬 but could be my mess up)

Obviously we don't know what effect the biotin has had on these results but on the face of it they are good.
Perhaps ask GP to retest in 6 weeks? Also you must get ferritin, folate, B12 & D3 tested as some of youtr symptoms may relate to lower than optimal levels of those.
GP is likely going on suppresed TSH but your free thyroid hormones are well within range.
The first paragraph in the NICE (NHS) Thyroid Disease, Assessment and Management guidelines says :

"Your responsibility”
The recommendations in this guideline represent the view of NICE, arrived at after careful consideration of the evidence available. I would tell your GP that as you failed to stop your supplement containing biotin before the test then your results wont be accurate. Retest following our advice after you've been on your chosen dose, unchanging, for 6-8 weeks and see what those results are like before agreeing to any dose change.
If you're going to test in 4-6 weeks from now I wouldn't change your dose, leave it as it is, you need 6-8 weeks on an unchanging stable dose when testing.
Yes I remembered your last post. You accidentally dropped your dose by more than your doctor ‘recommended’. I was looking forward to your next lot of instructions from your GP based on your actual reduction of dose and test results. It’s a pity you also got a bit mixed up with the biotin. Your GP has managed to recommend a further reduction, based on - TSH alone by the looks of it; even although your results look good. I think your GP does not have a clue with reference to dosage or timing of tests or good quality information or indeed anything to do with thyroid management. Luckily you have been given further good advice from the forum. I hope you are comfortable with the advice for moving forward.
