Help with bloods RT3 tested

Please help….

My bloods are terrible. Currently on 1 grain armour (blood results based on this). Last week I added In 12mg tirosint and I felt a lot better but a week on I am feeling really hypo again.

I can not increase armour as it sends my t3 over range and I feel hyper every time try And increase even 1/4 grain. I am tempted to add in another 12mg levo so that makes 25mg extra a day. Any thoughts?

Why not try mainly levothyroxine

Yes try adding 12.5mcg levothyroxine

Retest in 6-8 weeks

Likely to need further increase in levothyroxine after this

When were vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 levels last tested

Yes good idea. I have tried just levo before and then another occasion tirosint and compounded t3. I felt horrendous and kept reacting to the levo and crashing.

I have already (as of last week) added In 12.5mg levo and I will now add in another 12.5mg so 25mg in total. I will eventually start decreasing thevNDT and adding more levo in.

The only issue then is I need the t3. So will have to look at adding this in at some point.

Don’t increase levothyroxine too quickly

Don’t Test until 6-8 weeks after any dose change or brand change in levothyroxine or T3 or NDT

You may not need to reduce NDT ……we have members who take levothyroxine plus some NDT

Thank you for your help. Ok I will retest in 6 weeks and wait to increase. I just feel so dreadful at the moment.
