Hello everyone, I just got my labs back, I've been on one grain NP thyroid for a few months, I have a new doctor who is insufferable.she doesn't know how to treat thyroid, so I got my labs this morning, and I think I'm gonna go with a new doctor. Here are my labs. Let me know what everybody thinks.

TSH 7.80 t3 2.68 t4 . 90

My old doctor retired recently, and I was on naturethroid for a lot of years, I had my thyroid dialed in perfectly, and my new doctor thought my dosage was too high, which really was not I felt great at the time now I don't 😭

Please add ranges on these results, especially Ft4 and Ft3

Obviously you are seriously under medicated if TSH is over 3

Increase by 1/4 grain and wait 2-4 weeks before increasing again

Then perhaps retest again in another 6-8 weeks

Likely to need to split the dose

Important to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 too

SInce you're in the US you should look for a functional med practice. From my experience these places don't harass you about your levels and focus on how you feel. I wasted too much time on typical Drs and now I visit a registered nurse practitioner who offers functional and regular PCP. All your labs are bottom range and your TSH is too high. If these were my levels I would be completely bedridden or in the hospital. The last time I was on natural desiccated and my levels were that low I started to develop myxedema so I would assume you're not feeling great.

Not what you're looking for?
