I've just ordered a basic TFT from Monitor My Health which I was intending to use early next week, then I remembered its Easter hols next week and the advice being to test Monday or Tuesday. Doh 🤦♀️
I'm thinking of delaying it until the Monday of the following week but just wondered if it will be good until then, ie it won't expire or the preservatives in the blood collecting phial won't go off.

They have an expiry date on the little blood collection tubes. They are often good for a year or so. There shouldn't be any problem leaving it a few weeks till it's the right time for you 😊
As Hedgeree says, there is an expiry date which will be on the box the kit comes in as well as the tube. Just check that but you should find that there are many months to expiry.
However, you could do the test on Tuesday of next week when postal services restart after the Easter break (they close Good Friday and Easter Monday), send it back by Royal Mail's Special Delivery Guaranteed Next Day by 1pm (the post office counter clerk should deduct the cost of the business reply postage on the return envelope from the Special Delivery fee) and it should arrive on Wednesday and the lab will most certainly be up and running by then after the Easter holiday.
If you use Special Delivery Guaranteed Next Day by 1pm it is a priority service and if it is not delivered next day you can claim a refund of the fee. But it's up to you whether you prefer to wait.
Must say Monitor My Health are very good on Customer service i ordered a full screen test in Sept 21. I don't know how but i forgot to use it. Planned on using it last week. The kit had expired, i raised it with them, and they stated no problem, send the expired unused kit back ,in the return bag for disposal. They have already sent a replacement. Excellent service!
