I've been having issues with my thyroid for a few years. I get symptoms on and off. last few months have been bad. Sweating at night, can't keep still, shaking, head twitch, weight loss, anxiety. My TSH is 0.4 (normal 1-5) t3 3.4 (normal 0.9-2.8) , T4 14.9 (normal 5-12). Doctor says all normal, is that right? thank you 😊

When were vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 last tested
Are you currently taking any vitamin supplements
Sweating at night linked to low B12
Request GP test vitamin levels
Also thyroid antibodies for autoimmune hypothyroid thyroid disease - also called Hashimoto’s - TPO and TG thyroid antibodies
And TSI or Trab antibodies for Graves’ disease- autoimmune hyperthyroid
Your results look like early stages Hashimoto’s
Hashimoto’s frequently starts with transient hyperthyroid results and symptoms before becoming increasingly hypothyroid. Ft4 and Ft3 look very low …please add ranges on these results
You need the ranges specific to your lab test ….they can vary significantly from lab to lab
You are legally entitled to printed copies of your blood test results and ranges.
The best way to get access to current and historic blood test results is to register for online access to your medical record and blood test results
UK GP practices are supposed to offer everyone online access for blood test results. Ring and ask if this is available and apply to do so if possible, if it is you may need "enhanced access" to see blood results.
thanks so much. I've added ranges as I can find them.I've been tested over the last 2 years. my tsh has been 0.3, but then went back to normal and now dropped again. I don't know what my t3 and t4 where before. I've never been medicated for it. But the symptoms have been worse this year
I’ve never seen ranges like this. Are they from digital or a printout? Is the test for “free” thyroxine and triiodothyronine or total & is the measurement pmol/L or different.
Going by the ranges your levels are abnormally high. Doctors do not usually leave hyper untreated. Above range levels needs to be investigated. Ask them to explain why your high levels are ok.
Well, according to those results, all is not 'normal', no. But, what is 'normal'? Blood tests are only a rough guide. And GPs are notorious for 'interpreting' results to suit themselves. However, I would not have thought you were exactly hyper with those results. Looks more like a Hashi's 'hyper' swing. Have you had any antibodies tested?

The trouble with symptoms of thyroid problems is that they're non-specific. And so many of them can be either hypo or hyper. Sweating at night, weight-loss and anxiety can be either hypo or hyper. But, head twitch sounds neurological, so I would want my B12 tested. When I had that, my B12 was too low. Raised the B12 level and the head twitch went away. So, you really need further testing: antibodies and nutrientst, to get the full picture.
