Is anyone willing to speak to a journalist for a popular beauty and fashion magazine? It's urgent and they need to speak to someone this afternoon or this evening. They will ask:
•How I was diagnosed with an underactive thyroid based on symptoms of feeling constantly, tired and cold.
•How women are unaware they have the condition
•The dangerous implications for women by going undiagnosed
You could explain how hypothyroidism puts on weight, makes your hair fall out etc.

Don’t know if such a magazine would underestimate the effect of thyroid disease making it all about appearance. The outcome of the disease can ruin ability to work and have big impact on relationships.
The effect on my body was much more damaging.
Only with help to understand how to help myself came from this forum ! not medics.
The journalist has hypothyroidism herself so I don't think she will do a bad job. Any awareness is good. the magazine's readership is 4 million people, mostly women.
