Has anyone here with Hashimoto's/hypothyroidism discovered they also have Lyme disease? Or that they've had it for years? A couple of knowledgeable friends have insisted I get checked for it, but the last time I knowingly got a few ticks was back in 1995! And, yes, some of my problems might have started within a year or two of then, but even if I had it could I still have it? I got the ticks in Wicklow woodland inhabited by deers. I don't remember any bullseye rash.

google.com/amp/s/www.health... and hypo have similar symptoms so as this article suggests if you are not recovering on levo then it might be that you're not hypo but have Lyme's.
If you Google Lyme's thyroid you will see a mention of it being extremely rare to have both.
I became unwell in May 1977 - diagnosed with overactive thyroid in early 1990s received radioactive iodine which made me underactive but combination of RAI and long term thyroxine condition has gone drastically worse. I have been attending appointments with bioresonance therapist and he has traced that I have a very stubborn quantity of Lyme disease which he says may well be the reason I have been unwell for 44 years
Wow. I have a relative with a similar history re thyroid disease, incl RAI and levo and decades of terrible health until she started seeing someone doing bioressonance. I don't think it's available locally but I must check it out again. Thank you.
Yes I have Lyme and hashis. My understanding is that the Lyme triggers a bunch of autoimmune issues including hashis.
