Does anyone else have experience with this? I stocked up on the old formula last year so have only just made the switch.
Do you find it stronger / weaker or different in any way?
I’ve been taking 1 capsule (15mg) for 10 days and have found myself feeling anxious, but when I skipped a day I felt tired. My resting heart rate is still fine but my heart seems to be beating harder.
My thyroid results before making the switch were:
TSH: 2.07
Free T3 5.10 pmol/L
Vitamin D 116nmol/L
Ferritin 81
I would really really appreciate any feedback with anyone’s experience. I’m frustrated as I had been doing quite well before this switch.
Thanks in advance!

I don't see what the ribonucleotide addition is meant to do. They are precursors of DNA and RNA, but will never get into the body because the ribose sugar bit will be digested by the mouth, stomach and intestine. Anyway, if you weren't making enough yourself you would certainly know about it
What I meant to say in previous post was that when nucleotides were added, I started getting the symptoms I mentioned. Before that, I was getting on beautifully with them. Such a shame. Perhaps sales will suffer enough to make them reconsider
Because I wear earplugs to block out husbands snoring I can hear my heartbeat and every now and again it pauses, worryingly. It’s also much faster and stronger. My sleep has also suffered because I found a little bit of anxiety creeping in
I’m gradually making the switch to another brand by introducing it slowly and phasing out the Metavive. At the moment it’s going reasonably well. My heart rate seems to have settled and I’m not feeling anxious at bedtime
You get more for you money with the Nxgen because I think there are 160 capsules/tub and each one contains roughly the same amount of the gland as metavive lll. What I like is the filler is beef liver and if you look up the composition of the Nxgen beef liver capsules, you’ll see they’re packes with wonderful nutrients, so for that alone they’re worth it as it means I can in time, stop buying iron and vitamin c supplements
Yes, in theory I really like the look of them too as my iron always needs topping up. It certainly looks appealing.
However I do remember when I took a different beef product it made me really uncomfortable and bloated with bad stomach ache so I couldn’t take it. I’ll try and recall which one it was to check the ingredients against the NXGEN.
I’ve been taking Metavive for some time now. Also not happy that they changed the formulation. I’ve ended up reducing my dose as I was I felt I was over medicated on my last dose. I feel better on this than Levothyroxine but not sure I still trust this product. I’ll be looking for an alternative but just don’t know what yet.
My symptoms would need an A4 page so probably not a practical idea! 😂
I’m planning on working with a FM practitioner/Nutritional Therapist. Just need to find the right one. I’ve seen lots of different people/doctors over the years. I’ve improved in many ways but new issues or the same ones resurface.
In a nutshell, what has really helped me so far is stress management, sleep hygiene lifestyle and the right food. Probably needs tweaking and that's why I'm going down the route of seeing the FM practitioner. Also, my medication needs looking into too. Having your own knowledge about your issues is really important. So learning through books, research etc.
I’ve been taking Metavive for several years. I also had a stock of the original one so when I began seeing posts on here about the change I decided to gradually introduce the new ones (I take 4 a day). Doing it like that I’ve not had any problems but I, too, don’t understand why they’d mess with something that was so good to start with.
Yeah it’s such a shame as I was doing well on it and had no side effects.
I hope that I may find some improvement over time. Good to hear that you managed a smooth transition. Perhaps I should have done that too, but too late now as the old pot is gone
