I am a mother of 3 children, and have just been advised that I have an over active thyroid
What interesting is that I had heart surgery 18 months ago and I wondering have long has my thyroid been playing up, or is the meds I am on for the heart has caused this.

If our thyroid hormones are too high, our heart can be affected as excess hormones will make us feel awful.
I cannot state whether or not the problem with your heart was caused through being undiagnosed or with heart surgery. Sometimes it's difficult to say as sometimes clinical symptoms are diagnosed as something else.
Always get blood tests for thyroid hormones at the earliest possible, fasting (you can drink water) and get a print-out of the results with the ranges for your own records and post for comments if you have a query.
