Goodness, why on earth did you do that? Tests should be done early morning, no later than 9am, not only is this the best time for testing TSH but it avoids going all day without food.

Last dose of Metavive should be 8-12 hours before the test, splitting dose the day before and adjusting time of doses if necessary.

How do you feel?

Do you think that Metavive is working for you? It doesn't work for everyone.

Vit D is nicely within the range recommended by the Vit D Society and Grassroots Health, which is 100-150nmol/L.

Thanks seaside Susie - I had to go to London and that is the best time I could get it. Does it make the results redundant a bit?

I had the full works done and wasn’t expecting it but I did not share them but all those results but all seem okay - glad bit D is okay as I take supplements

I am feeling okay on it - it feels quite natural and it’s the best I have tried since thyroid S came to an end. I do get palpitations a lot though but that has been the norm for a long time. Going by these results Susie as my TSH is low and the rest in the norm. That I maybe taking too much. And may I ask his you are getting on?

It's good that it seems to be working for you.

When taking Metavive, although it is a glandular with no declared hormone content, results can be interpreted the same way as NDT, so one would expect TSH to be low or suppressed, FT4 lower in it's range than FT3, and FT3 maybe in the upper part of it's range.

I don't know how long you left between last dose of Metavive and doing the test but I'm guessing it was over the suggested 8-12 hours. If this is the case then your FT4 and FT3 results will be showing a false low level. Even allowing for this I don't think your FT3 would be over range if test was done with the correct timing.

And may I ask his you are getting on?

That's very kind of you to ask 😊

After a bit of a bump in the road when a GP wanted me to lower my dose of thyroid meds when I went for another condition, I refused to be bullied into doing it. However, off my own back and to prove a point, I did experiment with a lower dose so that I could have the lower results on my record and could point out in future how my levels plummeted and how bad it made me feel. I'm now back, after 7 months, to what are optimal levels for me and I wont be doing that again now I've proved my point! Just got to put up with the other conditions that keep me unwell now 🙄

That’s good - you know your stuff alright. I have a couple of other condition too. But I am gaining a lot from the poly vagal theory. I am sure you’ll keep on top of yours too. Thanks for your help
