Looking for advice been on thyroxine since I was a child which is over sixty odd years ago. Feeling of fatigue, problems with the soles of my feet. Saw doctor and he said everything in range. Just asking if anybody on this good site can see anything which might be out.
Any advice would be much appreciated
Always have blood tests done on a empty stomach, no thyroxin taken till after blood test. Done in the morning.

Is TSH the only test from May 2021? No FT4 and FT3?
Just testing TSH alone doesn't give a picture of thyroid health, TSH is a pituitary hormone which sends a signal to the thyroid to make hormone if it detects there's not enough. It's the FT4 and FT3, the thyroid hormones, that tell us what we need to know.
If there were any other tests done recently, ask the receptionist at your surgery for a print out and post the results with their reference ranges.
Your May 2020 results are irrelevant now, you really need a full thyroid panel and vitamins if possible.
Thanks for reply my surgery like most only test TSH and doctor was looking at vitamin results on screen, looks like I need to arrange a private test for myself and get full thyroid test done. Thanks again.
Do you always get same brand levothyroxine at each prescription
Important to take levothyroxine AFTER blood test. Last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test.. Testing as early as possible in morning before eating or drinking anything other than water
For full Thyroid evaluation you need TSH, FT4 and FT3 plus both TPO and TG thyroid antibodies tested. Also EXTREMELY important to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 at least annually
Low vitamin levels are extremely common, especially if you have autoimmune thyroid disease (Hashimoto's) diagnosed by raised Thyroid antibodies
Do you have Hashimoto’s?
Recommended on here that all thyroid blood tests should ideally be done as early as possible in morning and before eating or drinking anything other than water .
Last dose of Levothyroxine 24 hours prior to blood test. (taking delayed dose immediately after blood draw).
This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip)
Private tests are available as NHS currently rarely tests Ft3 or thyroid antibodies or all relevant vitamins
Thanks for reply take the same make all the time, cannot take Teva. Taking b12 but no other vitamins. Will arrange private blood draw which includes all vitamins and TSH and t3 and t4. Then repost when I get results. Will follow guidelines about how to do it from this site. Thanks again for advice.
Your B12 is on the 'low' side but before you do anything, request that your GP check that you do not have Pernicious Anaemia which is different to having a 'low' B12.
Just a quick comment, I have just tested low for B12 and Folate, I think we need to be higher in range but I also get soles of feet burning/tingling and been told that is a B12 symptom.
