Can I have some advise on my blood test but sorry I don’t have any ranges

FT3 5.1pmol/l

TPO 0.5 u/ml

TSH 1.453

T4 13.0

Please can you add the ranges (figures in brackets after each result)

Plus have you had vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 tested

Are you on levothyroxine? Or any other thyroid hormones

What vitamin supplements are you currently taking

If this is a GP test, please ring the surgery and ask the receptionist (not the doctor) for a print out of your results. It is our legal right in the UK to have our results without question or charge.

We can't interpret your results without them as ranges vary from lab to lab.

Also, as SlowDragon has mentioned, we need to know if you are on any thyroid meds. If so, when did you take your last dose before this test, timing is very important in interpreting results. Last dose of Levo should be taken 24 hours before test. If on T3 or NDT or thyroid glandular then last dose should be 8-12 hours before test.

Also, if you are taking a B Complex or Biotin supplement, this should be left off for 7 days before the test as it can give false results.
