Hello ...some people will know me from posting occasionally regarding being ignored and dismissed by my doctors regarding my 7 years of low tsh low t4 and low t3 all pointing to hypopituarism...covid put a stop to any further pushing with doctors. My question is I had a severe 8 week reaction to the AZ vaccine and had to attend A and E. I've just accessed my blood test results they took 3 separate ones but didn't explain what for other than blood clots...just wondered what you thought of my t2 relevant results as shown. ( Also showed high MCH and MCHC usually meaning low b12/folate even though I supplement but it can be affected by hypothyroidism I believe..thanks for any feedback

Is your supplement a b12 complex .? If it is then you can't rely on those blood results. B12 complex needs to be stopped a week beforehand as the biotin I it can skew results

yes it's B complex I couldn't stop taking it as I was rushed to hospital....but how would that affect my thyroid results ? and wouldn't my b12 show as higher not lower with not stopping my supplement ??

I don't know about the effects on your b12 result.It affects your thyroid results because the biotin in b12 complex interferes with the methods used to test thyroid bloods in the lab.

Ah I'd heard that....i forgot...so will it be lower or higher than it would normally be due to the biotin ?
