T3 Supply

Hi. I’ve been taking T3 with my T4 for the past 20 years or so. Originally prescribed, but latterly purchased from a pharmacist, whilst on holiday in Turkey. I had an interim spell without and it was terrible, I have never felt so low and fatigued and it also seemed to make problems with my MS worse. Even my GP was sympathetic and advised me to source independently. My supplies are now running low and it seems unlikely that we will travel abroad this year and I’m in a state of low key panic. There is a minefield of websites selling T3, but obviously I’m wary. Could someone please private message me with advice on who to trust to buy genuine T3 meds on line?

Thank you so much.

How about seeing a thyroid specialist endocrinologist who will prescribe T3

Private prescription enables access to Thybon Henning 20mcg tablets at £1 per tablet via specialist U.K. pharmacies

Email Thyroid UK for list of recommend thyroid specialist endocrinologists who will prescribe T3

...NHS and Private

tukadmin@thyroiduk.org

Obviously quicker and easier via private consultation

Roughly where in the U.K. are you. Many endocrinologist are currently doing consultations on zoom, so distance no object

Hello Thank you for taking the time to reply to me. I didn’t realise that it was an affordable way of accessing T3.

I looked into it a long time ago and it seemed incredibly expensive. I live in Leicestershire.

Hi Teal I have privately messaged you.SlowDragon is right you should be able to get T3 from an Endocrinologist if you need it , but there is no guarantee they will prescribe and even if they do and they ask your GP to prescribe again there's no guarantee they will subsequently take over prescribing it for you.

I know this from personal experience, but I hope you are more lucky than me. :)

When there was only one licensed supplier (Mercury Pharma) 28 tablets of 20mcg T3 was at its highest £268(Increase of 6000% )

gov.uk/cma-cases/pharmaceut...

Now 3 U.K. licensed suppliers to NHS ....price has dropped to £118 per 28 tablets ...obviously still far too high and difficult to get NHS prescription

But private prescription enables access to Thybon Henning 20mcg tablets

Prior to Brexit Thybon Henning 20mcg tablets were available direct from Germany at 31 euro for 100 tablets

That option now closed as we left EU

But at £1 per tablet it’s much cheaper than U.K. brands

Thank you! At least it gives the reassurance that it is genuine. Which is my major concern.
