22 April 2.49 - No change to dose. Now on Mercury.
12 March 6.11 - Dose increased to 125mcg but two weeks later I get Accord.
29 Jan 2.40 - No change to doss
18 Dec 11.5 - Dose increased to 100mcg
17 Sept 1.84 - No change to dose
10 Aug 7.53 - Dose increased to 75mcg
30 Jun 13.4 - Diagnosed and prescribed 50mcg Levothyroxine Activa
You can see my TSH results above and my most recent Thriva results attached.
I am one of those oddities that found Accord not at all the same ad Activa. Gave me horrible headaches and made me feel under medicated. Yesterday was first day on Mercury. Headache still present but not as bad and hopefully waning. I was on Accord for 3 weeks. Hoping Mercury is the one for me and there is a note on my file from GP to only give me this. I will change it if I need to after trialling for 2 weeks.
My query is that normally when my dose isn't changed I can already tell I won't need an increase because I feel so good. But this time I feel awful. I really thought I would need an increase. I'm not stuck in bed but I have muscle aches and a sort throat. Fatigue gone and heart rate feels normal instead of slow.
Do you think it could just be the brand change?
I did accidentally take biotin a couple times in the week before. It was this one:
I also haven't been eating very well recently, lots of gluten free processed food. Not much protein and what not. I've upped my game as of yesterday so hopefully that should help as well.

i think if you've only just replaced the accord with Mercury you should give it a few weeks to see how you feel on it, and what your bloods are before considering another dose increase.
Yeah I agree. Probably worth giving the mercury a chance. Cuz I was mostly on accord after the increase to 125mcg and that brand wasnt any good for me. So maybe now I'm on Mercury it will be. But we'd know for sure in bloods six weeks from now.
I see you know you have Hashimoto's AI thyroid disease and have been through the usual list of foods to check for intolerances and know of the work of Dr Izabella Wentz.
Your antibodies are currently above range showing further immune system attacks on your thyroid and your conversion of T4 into T3 is compromised.
The accepted conversion ratio when on T4 only is 1 / 3.50 - 4.50 - T3/T4 with most people preferring to come in at around 4 or under.
To find your conversion ratio when on T4 only you simply divide your T3 into your T4 and I'm getting 4.30 so you are moving out from centre showing poor conversion.
Your T4 is coming in at around 80% and your T3 at around 43% and there is the option of a dose increase in T4 which in turn should increase your T3 level.
I think your ferritin needs to get to be over 70 - ( aim for 100 ) for optimal thyroid hormone conversion and your folate looks a little high ??
Optimal vitamin and minerals will improve conversion and we should then see, even on the same dose of T4, your TSH go down, your T3 up and your T4 go down, thereby giving you more chance of a dose increase if still suffering with symptoms.
Ultimately, as I understand things as Hashimoto's further destroys your thyroid gland causing erratic, lower levels of thyroid hormone support you will need to seek further hormone replacement to compensate accordingly.
I think Dr. Wentzs diet works to bring down the antibodies so I should try and stick to that. I keep cheating it a bit, like I follow it strictly when I feel rubbish and then as soon as I feel better I'm eating all the grains and GF processed food again 😅 which is not going to help bring the antibodies down.
Yes I'm sure it all becomes a bit boring and you feel the need to " break out " :
Fortunately I don't seem to have these issues, though do cook from scratch and don't eat bread or use cereals out of choice, and I'm sure there are many more references than Dr Izabella Wentz, but do read good comments as to her suggestions.
I'm with Graves post RAI thyroid ablation and now manage lingering Graves, thyroid eye disease and hypothyroidism.
Hahaha that's exactly what happens. I've always been an emotional eater and there 's always been alot of emotions! I have to be very strict to stay in a healthy weight range but teetering at the top at the moment. Hopefully that'll come down now TSH in range and if I stop being naughty.
