Can any one tell me if these results are ok?

Hi,im new here & diagnosed with Underactive Thyroid in early December & bloods done then again in January. On 50mg from the start and no increase. Had severe symptoms for a very long time that are now only easing a lil but still a lot going on. Told in jan after 8wks of inital diagnosis & new bloods taken that everything is normal. I mentioned my ongoing symptoms, breathlessness, muscle weakness, thining of hair line, dry skin, constant pain in throat & so on and she refered me to the endo for a telephone appoint whome then done more bloods. That was 3 weeks ago & her secretary said no results there as of yet for me. Today i asked my docs receptionist for my previous blood results. Will post below, looks like T3 wasnt done. Im unsure what my levels mean as im not clued up on this. I had a lot of tests done initally back then but noticed they checked b12 & states low 147 ng/l 180.00- 900.00ng/L.

I was unaware of this and unsure what the awaiting results will say. Any advice as to if this is normal? Am i just adjusting to my meds as i cant even climb the stairs without breathlessness or exercise and put over halff a stone on since start of jan. Im 41 and 5ft, nothing fits me anymore and i have zero motivation, diagnosed with depression in jan also so im not in a good place at all. Any advice would be great and how to go about it etc.. once i get the new results through i will post them also. Sorry for the ear bashing and thank you in advance 😊

Well, everything is in-range - which is what a doctor means when he says 'normal' - but your FT4 is far from 'normal'. It's only 27.14% through the range. Euthyroid would be around 50%. And, if your FT4 is low, your FT3 probably is, as well. And it's low T3 that causes symptoms.

Your B12 is dangerously low. What is your doctor doing about that? He should be testing for Pernicious Anemia with such a low result.

Have you also had your vit D, folate and ferritin tested?

Your B12 is EXTREMELY low

Are you vegetarian

You need testing ASAP for Pernicious Anaemia.

Highly likely to need B12 injections

Have you had folate and vitamin D tested

Essential to test iron and ferritin levels too

Regarding B12, I suggest you post, or at least have a read, over on the Pernicious Anaemia Society forum, here:

As SlowDragon said, you probably need a B12 injection urgently. The question is whether you need a full set of loading doses.

Do not put off getting the B12 resolved. Continued non-treatment can and does result in worsening of the damage caused - sometimes to an extreme level. Time is important.

Thank you so much for the replys and sorry for the late response. Greygoose i havent had any vits tested as far as i can see unless these new results come back with said testing but highly unlikly as endo said she was testing hormones and may need a scan if they come back negative due to the daily headaches. 🤔

Thank you slow dragon & Helvella. I never got told about my low b12 levels so never questioned it. Im not vegen but dont eat a lot of red meat at all. I have just rang my surgery for the nurse to call me back this morning regarding b12 and my major concerns. I am really worried now, it said on printout they shud check back to me on levels between 2& 6 mths but that was back in Nov. No wonder im very dizzy and no energy on the regular. Thank you so much for your help, very much appreciated 💕
