Hi all, I was on 100mcg of levo for quite some time and cholesterol level was 7 and pre-diabetic level was 47....ok was prescribed statins which I did not take.
Levo was reduced to 75mcg January 2020 and I was dreading my cholesterol level going higher due to hypothyroidism, and total inability to exercise due to heart issue.
Surprise, surprise last week annual blood test via GP revealed cholesterol level 5.2 and pre-diabetic level 45. How can this be possible with a reduction of thyroxine, hypothyroidism (I had thyroid removed) along with a massive reduction in my exercise routine?
Did not change my healthy diet.
I am quite perplexed, would really appreciate some feedback.
I now taking statins to get cholesterol even lower but not happy taking them as I am on a trial of NDT which could help lower cholesterol level.
Would appreciate some feedback.
Have a rewarding day.
