Thank you helvella.
What a lot of hard work , thankyou so much.
I think you should consider trying to get Haynes Manuals to publish it, after all it is (marginally) more exciting than the wiring diagram and engine components of an IVECO Truck .
Only joking .. it's brilliant x
Try telling my husband, son and brother that! My husband is a long distance lorry driver, my son is a commercial vehicle auctioneer and my brother is a removal man with a huge lorry! Sometimes I come to work to get away from lorries!
Wow! Helvella, This is amazing! Thank you so much for all the effort and time you have put into this. x
Amazing, Helvella! Thank you so much for taking the time to put this together and keep it up to date.
Thank you so much!
Legend 🤗
Thank you so much for sharing all your hard work.
Feel the collective virtual hug Helvella!Awesome work much appreciated. Thank you.
Wow thank you helvella ! Brilliant stuff!
Helvella Great Job . Well Done. Thank you so much.
This is an amazing effort helvella thank you! I was just pointed to it relating to a question I asked on Thyroid Hub UK (Facebook). I'll be saving this
My question was in relation to "apparent" makes of liothyronine that I've not been able to find any info on anywhere! Accord and Alliance, which are "available" from Boots pharmacy - but can't find any further info on ingredients list anywhere online… and see they're also absent from your extensive list. It's a mystery!
That makes me think someone has made a mistake, somewhere.
Almus is the own-label supplier owned by Walgreen Boots Alliance. They do not have any liothyronine:
almus.co.uk/product-list?p_...
Accord do not have a liothyronine product at all. And I have not been able to find reliable information as to whether their parent company, Intas, does or does not have such a product.
By all means download a copy - but always assume it has been updated and check again.
Thanks helvella. Yeah, I'm familiar with Almus as the brand used by Boots for levothyroxine also (manufactured by Accord) as I usually have that dispensed.
It's weird - I specifically asked Boots what brands they have available for T3, and questioned it as I thought Teva, Advanz and Morningside were the only licensed in the UK. They confirmed they dispense all!
According to BNF both Accord and Alliance also exist (although may be white label distribution of other pharma-manufactured product)
bnf.nice.org.uk/medicinal-f...
This is the openprescribing data also indicating a range of available products, including both Accord and Alliance Health (which I think is part of the Boots corporate structure)
openprescribing.net/dmd/vmp...
No-one I've spoken to has ever seen these In Real Life however! At least not yet…
thanks
Aaaaahhhh!
The BNF lists distributors - not manufacturers/brands. Totally confusing.
For 20 microgram liothyronine, they list:
A A H Pharmaceuticals Ltd
Accord Healthcare Ltd
Advanz Pharma
Alliance Healthcare (Distribution) Ltd
DE Pharmaceuticals
Medihealth (Northern) Ltd
Morningside Healthcare Ltd
Teva UK Ltd
Thanks Helvella. Yeah, even so, I'd expect to be able to find PILs and/or information on manufacturer and ingredients of all those products being distributed. It "should" be really clear but isn't!!
You can find PILs on the MHRA site but it is very poorly designed. Hence not easy to find the site nor a medicine within it. But I use that as my prime source for UK medicine information. That it why I am sure there are no other products than the ones I list unless they have been added within the past few weeks.
The MHRA site is here:
The search mechanism does work but it isn't as clear as it could and should be.
Thanks. Yeah, I'd looked at that also (forgot!) and agree, it's not the easiest to navigate! And its still only showing Teva, Mercury Pharma (Advanz) and Morningside. It's all very confusing…I'm really looking to try and find a T3 without acacia and unfortunately Teva is totally ineffective for me.
helvella the link doesn't seem to be working - says the file has been deleted? Am I looking in the wrong place?
helvella thank you very much....trying to source lactose free T4 again
