Do you do split doses of NDT or all in one go?

Hello community how do you take your NDT ? I’ve read by Dr Lowe that once a day in morning if sufficient but have seen that some say different .

I've tried both and find once in the morning works best for me.

It’s easier to remember and take from food I’d of thought .

When I split my dose in 2 I was getting a big dip after lunch that didn't improve after my second dose at around 3pm. I tried splitting into 3 doses, that made getting to sleep difficult.

I take it all in one go. When it was prescribed by NHS to everyone that was what we were told. I see recently some find it better split. It’s probably personal.

All at once first thing. Splitting it just gave me headaches and yawning all day.

I take 1 1/2 in the morning and 1 at night. I just feel better this way. Or I did, only a couple of days left of NDT. I am going to try Metavive, which I hope works as I am lambing in a couple of weeks time which is always draining.

Was doing 3 grains in one go. Made me hyper and quite warm but my mood dramatically improved! Tried taking it, first, in the morning, then switched it to before bed. Either way , for me, too high a dose at one time. Now up to 4 grains, taking 2 before bed and 2 mid morning. At the moment, that seems to be a good balance. I need to start taking morning temp before getting out of bed.

Keep experimenting until you find the right balance for yourself. No 'one size fits all' when it comes to hormone supplementation.
