Can anyone advise me on dosing with metavive II from another brand of a glandular. I was taking thyrogold but it’s out of stock and so I’m trying metavive II.
There’s little advice on how to dose but the only information I can find is for dosing by DR Myhill for CFS which is different obviously to hypothyroidism.
I was doing very well on 375mg of thyrogold but now I’m feeling hypo again on metavive. Been on now for few weeks and feeling the need to increase dose but not sure how to increase safely. Is it ok to swop like for like if swooping from one glandular to another glandular even if metavive II is porcine compared to thyrogold which is bovine

Dr Myhill recommends taking your temperature and increasing the dose every two weeks till your temperature gets in the normal range. I’mOn it and it’s great and I did this and it works fine
Hi. How many do you take please, I’ve been taking one since before Christmas and was feeling better till I got Covid and still suffering long term effects. I’ve just increased to one and half capsules at the 80mg.I’ve always had bad circulation before thyroid and cold hands.
So I’m not sure how the temperature thing would work with me.
My TSH was very high in September (38) and cannot tolerate levo.
Are you in metavive. If you are start on one and increase weekly till yiur temperature hits in normal range. How many you take is unique to each person as everyone has to find their sweet spot. I’m no doctor just a person using it and how it worked fir me.
Hi I’m now on 4 met II and 1 met I but I’ll probably increase next week as I’m still feeling hypo and low basal temp
Read Dr myhills website lots on there
Your TSH was very high so I’d of thought you need a lot more than what your currently taking but you’d have to increase till you find your sweet spot as we are all different
Thanks, I’m struggling really as I cannot afford to buy lots of the tablets to make my levels lower and GP won’t help. I won’t be able to take four a day because of funding, but I’ll have a read later and do more research, thanks for getting back to me
