Hi guys, needed to increase vit d level as was low (31.7nmol/L). Started supplementing with sublingual spray which has K2 in it. Also co-factor magnesium. Just recently experiencing aching bones - is this normal??Strange thing is the aching seems to be located where there's been previous injury e.g. back, shoulder, broken hand bone etc etc. Anyone else had same ???

If been vitamin D deficient for long time, yes occasionally bones can be very painful as vitamin D levels start to improve

Due to bones remineralising

I had excruciating pain, for 3-4 months. Then pain slowly faded.

Thank you. I was beginning to think I may have been taking too much Vit D but I am following a daily dose worked out by a calculator based on my levels. What an amazing body we have considering how it tries to repair itself!!

How much are you taking

Make sure to retest after 6-8 weeks

People vary a lot in how much they need

Trial and error what dose suits you. May vary summer to winter

I've posted a photo of my Vit D dose calculation. I am using BetterYou 3000iu Vit D with K2 spray. It says 3 sprays per day is recommended so I assume 3 sprays makes up the 3000iu dose. I've been doing 3 sprays morning & 3 sprays evening - so hopefully a dose of 6000iu per day as per the required calculated dose???

Yes the Better You Vitamin D 3000iu spray with K2 is 1000iu per spray - the Red one

(Where as the Better You vitamin D mouth spray on its own - green one - is 3000iu per spray)

Retest after 6-8 weeks. You will need to reduce dose to maintenance level once you get result high enough

It's the red one that I have so the dose should be correct then. Ive only been using it for about 2wks & then the aching I mentioned has started. As long as this is normal I'm happy because certain other symptoms are ebbing away. Yes I will get re-tested in about 4wks time.
