Issues getting NDT

Hi everyone!

I know a lot of us have been having issues obtaining NDT as I think manufacture has stopped due to Corona? I know we cannot directly reply on this forum to say if we know of any places we can get it but it would be great if we could have a conversation about it. Is everyone else finding the same thing? Is it possible to get it privately in the UK? I am starting to panic as I have cut my dose in half but will run out at some point. What are others planning to do?

I totally agree, this is a shambles, if 10% of population is on thyroxin and 10% ( up to 20%) of them don't convert T4 to T3 that is 1-2% left to self medicate and get their NDT or T3 any way they can.

So at least 500,000 people (up to 1 million), are not getting the the treatment we need, we have to do our own research to find what works, then we have to buy it our selves and then they make it almost impossible to get this vital medicine we need to survive. Going private will cost thousands each year to get a limited choice with fillers that make us ill.

I have had to get NDT from Thailand for the last 10 years and Armour for 5 years before, after feeling bad for 3 years on Levo and tried T3. I am trying Metavive now but not sure this will keep me alive as I have no thyroid, and they cant say!

Why is there no NDT supply in the UK? Can't anyone make it here.
