I wrote last week thinking I could be under medicated. The results I posted were from August 1 and I have just felt bad for the last few months No energy, hard to talk, just lethargic. When I discussed with my endocrinologist last week by email she said I could add 25 mcg T3 to the 100 mcg Levo I take daily. After reading your comments about how strong the T3 is, I decided to retest. First, these are the August 1 results: TSH 2.14 (Ref. 0.38-5.33); T4 free 0.93 (ref. 0.61-1.12) and T3 free 2.7 (Ref. 2.5-3.9).
Now here is yesterday's results: TSH 0.767 (Ref. 0.38-5.33); T4 free 1.81 (ref. 0.61-1.12) and T3 free 2.43 (Ref. 2.5-3.9). Yesterday I also tested B12 and it was 200 (ref range 200-1100) I was going to test for Vit D, etc., but it was getting way to expensive.
I did not make any medication change. Just taking the 100 mcg of Levo. I take no other meds or supplements. Both tests were taken 24 hours after Levo, fasting state. Is it normal for TSH to fluctuate that much? And I guess the vitamin B12 could be better? I want to send these to my endocrinologist, but hoping for some feedback from the group first.
Thanks.

FT4 is over range that along with low FT3 suggests that you are not converting well
You need to optimise vit D vit B12, folate and ferritin to support thyroid function but it looks as if you would benefit from the addition of a little T3
Have you had antibodies tested to check for Hashimoto's?
As hormone levels rise your TSH will drop....see this in latest results.
TSH is a pituitary hormone not a thyroid hormone, it responds to hormone levels
High hormone/low TSH , low hormone/high TSH.
Your changed TSH level is normal but your FT3 is far too low. and getting lower.
Starting on 25mcg T3 is a big dose, personally I'd try 12.5mcg for the first two weeks the try 25. ....but others will differ. We are advised to go low and slow!
Hi. First, I must advise that I used the wrong reference range for yesterday's test . I am so sorry. It was done at a different lab and has different ranges . It is: TSH 0.767 (Ref. 0.4-4.0); T4 free 1.81 (ref. 0.8-1,9) and T3 free 2.43 (Ref. 1.5-4.4). Does that look any better?
My endocrinologist suggests vitamin B injections of neurobion 25,000 U, once a week for 4 weeks. Also my Hashimoto antibodies were around 580. She thinks just stay on Levo 100 mcg (current dose) and see if the vitamin injections help.
