I'm hypothyroid. Dealing with hair shedding that started 3 months after a dose reduction. The volume of my hair has dramatically decreased as the hair loss has been going on for 18 months now. My latest blood test results on a dosage of 125mcg a day are:
Tsh 0.012 (0.38-5.33)
Free T4 13.3 (7-16)
Free T3 4.6 (3.8-6)
Before the change in dosage i was on 150mcg a day. Please any advice would be great. I have to have a medication review and they will probably try to drop it further.
Sarah.

important to regularly test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12
What vitamin supplements are you currently taking
Recommended on here that all thyroid blood tests should ideally be done as early as possible in morning and before eating or drinking anything other than water .
Last dose of Levothyroxine 24 hours prior to blood test. (taking delayed dose immediately after blood draw).
This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip)
Is this how you do your tests?
Private tests are available as NHS currently rarely tests Ft3 or thyroid antibodies or all relevant vitamins
