Feel bad in morning and fine in night

Hi

I have hashimoto for 3 years

I take 800 mcg of Levo in week (100 per day and 200 once in a week)

Lately my levo brand (eltroxin) changed the formula

My blood result is fine ( tsh 1.7 ft3 6.5 ft4 13 )

I feel every first half of the day not good , weak cold ,like a flu but in the evening I feel fine

Anyone know what is the reason for that? It’s related to my hashimoto?

Also B12 and folic acid is in the top of the bar in blood test

Sounds like adrenals

Have you had cortisol levels tested?

Private testing Cortisol and DHEA via Four point saliva tests

As you have Hashimoto’s Are you on strictly gluten free diet?

What vitamin supplements are you currently taking

For full Thyroid evaluation you need TSH, FT4 and FT3 plus both TPO and TG thyroid antibodies tested. Also EXTREMELY important to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12

Low vitamin levels are extremely common, especially with Hashimoto’s

Ask GP to test vitamin levels

How much levothyroxine are you currently taking

Always get same brand?

Recommended on here that all thyroid blood tests should ideally be done as early as possible in morning and before eating or drinking anything other than water .

Last dose of Levothyroxine 24 hours prior to blood test. (taking delayed dose immediately after blood draw).

This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip)

If/when also on T3, make sure to take last third or quarter of daily dose 8-12 hours prior to test, even if this means adjusting time or splitting of dose day before test

Is this how you do your tests?

Private tests are available as NHS currently rarely tests Ft3 or thyroid antibodies or all relevant vitamins

List of private testing options

Medichecks Thyroid plus vitamins including folate (private blood draw required)

Thriva Thyroid plus antibodies and vitamins By DIY fingerpick test

Thriva also offer just vitamin testing

Blue Horizon Thyroid Premium Gold includes antibodies, cortisol and vitamins by DIY fingerprick test

If you can get GP to test vitamins and antibodies then cheapest option for just TSH, FT4 and FT3

£29 (via NHS private service ) and 10% off if go on thyroid uk for code

If your calcium is high despite Vit D being low then that sounds like a potential parathyroid problem. parathyroid.com/high-calciu... Ever been tested for that? Symptoms are chronic fatigue, body aches, difficulty sleeping, bone pain, memory loss, poor concentration, depression, and headaches...

It’s awful not knowing what to do for the best, isn’t it? Hope you find some answers soon.

Maybe try taking your thyroid hormones at night instead of a.m. As long as your stomach is empty as food might interfere with the uptake of levo.

Unfortunately for us, hypo, a change of something in the tablet can affect some us negatively.

If having a blood test early a.m. miss night dose of levo and take after test and night dose as usual (if you decide to trial a switch of times).

Hi Adam1805, had also experienced feeling low energy in the morning and fine later on so divided my dose of levothyroxine and take part at night and the balance in the morning, so far so good, have much more energy.
