I have a private prescription for liothyronine 10mcg, could anyone tell me where the cheapest place is to buy please

The only 10 microgram liothyronine I know of is Morningside in the UK.

Price will vary (as it always does with private prescriptions in the UK) but it is not going to be cheap. Ring round some pharmacies and see what they offer.

The other obvious ways of achieving that dose are to split one of the 20 microgram products, or take two 5 microgram tablets.

I think my 10mcg morninside costs around £190 for 28 tablets.

Thank you.

My prescription is 10mcg twice a day, 56 tablets. I knew it was going to be expensive but at that price and I need double its just not possible.

20mcg tablets are about £209 for 28 in the UK.

Most folks here send their prescription to Germany to get them. It is something like 31 Euros for 100 tablets. However this is getting trickier and may have to stop when we leave the EU.

You could try to get them from Europe in the meantime but the prescription has to be written in a specific way for 20mcgs. If you search on this site there are guidelines.

Sorry not to be clearer but I get mine on the NHS which seems unfair.
