Liothyronine- where can I buy it in the U.K. And how much would it be?
I am currently taking levothyroxine but I saw a specialist in the US whilst on holiday who has suggested amongst other things that I start liothyronine

You can only buy T3 (liothyronine) in the UK if you have a prescription (which could be supplied by either an NHS doctor or a private doctor).
If you did have a prescription then you would save money by buying it from pharmacies in France or Germany.
If you don't have a prescription then sadly your only option is to take a holiday in countries where it is sold over the counter, or buy it over the internet.
If you don't have prescription - only online from abroad.

Not strictly true. You don't only have to do it online, you can buy it in person from pharmacies in countries where it's an OTC med!

I meant if she is not going anywhere. Somebody already told her that there are countries where she can get it OTC, why should I repeat this then. In US we don't travel that much as maybe you are in Europe.
Sorry, I missed that, just like you obviously missed that someone already said buy it over the internet. Simple mistake and no offense meant on my part
