Hello-increased my dose of levo to 125mg during lockdown after Endo said TSH fine at 0.72. but symptoms had worsened. Didn’t accept that I am a poor convertor.
Just had TSH repeated by new Endo (refused to repeat T3 and T4 blood test) and despite the increase in levo my TSH has increased to just over 2. My liver and cholesterol have also raised and my blood pressure which I am concerned about as I have a pre op assessment in just over 2 weeks for major surgery which I desperately need.
Endo Consultant has just said will repeat bloods and see me again in October. Not sure whether to up meds again to try to get blood pressure and cholesterol back down or if the initial increase has made bloods worse as profile was much better on 100mcg. Have apt with GP tomorrow to ask for help to stabilise BP but don’t know where to go with Hashis as Specialist has been useless. My folate and B12 were normal although had decreased and I do follow a gluten free diet. Any advice greatly appreciated. I fear by upping my dose of levo I may caused a paradoxical effect?. I put the dose back down to 100 last two days and felt calmer tbh although think that may be psychological and now I am panicking so increased it again today.
Apologies in advance for the ramble. I am very confused.
Thank you 😊

Thank you-I am going to ask if GP will do full screen of thyroid as a new patient when I discuss the raised BP tomorrow.
I am not taking any supplements currently as on VLC gluten free diet and was getting upset stomach with the supplements. I had taken that mornings dose of levo before the blood test as didn’t know he would be taking bloods.
Bloods previous were before levo. If I had taken the dose this time am I right to assume that this would have lowered TSH so it may even be higher than 2?.
If new GP surgery is not open to full testing I will definitely get in touch with private services.
All a bit catch 22 at the moment as need to lose weight before op and diet may be throwing things out also.
