Hi All, I need some help please I have been taking Abdiibrahim Tiromel 100mg daily for 2 years and it gave me back my life, I was pain free, could manage my weight and my hair grew thick and strong. Receiving my latest batch I am slipping downhill fast and can feel all the horrible hypo symptoms returning am wondering if anyone else has felt this or if I have received a bad batch? Would be grateful for any ideas or suppliers via PM or if anyone has gone onto NDT with good results? Am feeling desperate this vile condition is dragging me down again. I also take 100mg Levo. TIA

There have been a couple of members who have experienced return of symptoms with a certain batch of Tiromel.
Can you please check the batch/lot number and the expiry date on the box.
Also check the batch/lot number and the expiry date that is indented on the blister pack.
Are they exactly the same? With the others the batch/lot number on the box was different from the one on the blister pack.
What are these numbers/dates?
Also, it could be the same supplier as the others, as we can't name suppliers on the forum can you please send me a private message with the supplier information so that I can check.
Could you tell us the batch number etc on your packets? I'd like to compare it with my latest consignment.
I'm getting a bit concerned about these reports because Tiromel has been the most consistent brand I've taken.

The problematic batch has the Lot No. 17K633 and expiry date May 2021 indented on the blister pack. The box has the numbers 20H100 and expiry May 2021.
Obviously there is a problem because the Lot number and expiry date should be the same on the blister pack and the box.
No other batches are involved.
Thanks Susie. The OP has just been in contact, so I've passed on my own batch numbers, which are different.
I must say, I'd be surprised and disappointed if it turns out that Abdi Ibrahim have let their quality control slip.
Oh dear!
Obvious....but are they still in date....check blister pack, sometimes difficult to read.
Are all the packs similarly dated etc ? Has a rogue pack entered the supply.
Worrying that supplies may not be consistent.
Might it be worth trying to drop your T4 dose by say 25mcg and increase your T3 by maybe 6.25mcg ... experiment/trial and error to raise your T3 which seems to have been dropped by a weakened batch. Or just increase the Tiromel and see if that helps...it is easy to drop the dose again if you feel overmedicated.
Listen to your body
It might ease things a little until you find another supply.
I'm not a medic but have had to titrate doses a lot to find a dose that improved symptoms. Now on very high dose T3.
Just a few thoughts

It's very unlikely they're in date.
I bought a box of Tiromel as a back up if I could no longer get UniPharma T3. From wht I understand both Tiromel and Unipharma have the first two digits of their Lot number as the year the tablets are produced, followed by some kind of batch number.
My Tiromel box says Lot number 18H102 with the expiry date of 12/2019 (blister pack the same). That coincides with when I bought them in November 2018.
My Unipharma has Lot number 16 06 with expiry date 06 2019. I bought those in March 2017. Unipharma has always had 3 years to expiry.
So the batch of Tiromel in question looks like it was produced in 2017, should have had an expiry date sometime in 2018 but there's obviously been a problem somewhere.
Thank you all for your advice it's very reassuring to have people "who know" to turn to when sheer panic sets in! X
I have just discovered i have that exact batch with the same numbers and the anomoly between what is on the packet and what is on the pill foil.
Has anyone been ok with them?
Or are they definitely somehow a rogue batch?
I'm very nervous now.
Realise this post was from some time ago now. I also had a problem with this batch 17K633 exp 05 2021 box numbers were 20 H 100. Worth also noting the texture of my tablets felt softer with no snap and the writing on the back was smaller. I had a horrible return of hypo symptoms, I also take NDT so took me a week or so to notice.
