I just don't trust the new pack I have got they are so different I have looked up the pharmaceutical website and no mention of change in formulation 🤷 so think they are duds I ha e a really bad stomach since start of year so not even taking anymore of them now not chancing it. 🙁 Thanks

Depends where you got it from but I have changed to getting Cynomel as my supplier of Tiromel supplied a pack of dud Tiromel pills to a friend. I don't know if it's a deliberate fraud or just something gone wrong in the storage. We also found the packaging had changed.

Where do you buy your T3 from?

I take a large dose Tiromel and didn't think anything was amiss until I decided to use up some Cynomel I had set aside.

I took the same dose of Cynomel as the Tiromel and I felt shaky and tense - my

heart rate remained ok but I now feel the Tiromel may be weaker

I'll need to swop back to Tiromel and do a bit of experimenting!

This has been a problem here

I tried a small amount of cynomel after a bad batch of tiromel and I was desperate. I immediately got a fast racing heart. I'm thinking its not time release. We're you able to take it successfully? Thx

in reply toAnniegg62

As far as I know, synthetic brands of T3 (Cytomel, Cynomel, Tiromel etc) are never time release. Time release T3 is only available from compounding pharmacies and is a prescription only drug.

I am not aware of any factory-made liothyronine which is slow release/extended release/or whatever term they use.
