Yesterday I had my breakfast and about an hour later my stomach bloated so bad I couldn't button or zip up my trousers I'd say it swelled to double its size & I haven't a clue what I've eaten or drank for it to behave in such a way, it was quite painful as you could imagine.
Has anyone else had this?
What causes it?
How can I treat it if it happens again?
What did you have ? Is it first time it’s happened? Also were you upset or in a hurry or something ?

How long have you been on 75mcg levothyroxine
Bloods should be retested 6-8 weeks after each dose increase
Always make sure to do blood tests as early as possible in morning before eating or drinking anything other than water and last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test

I often experience bloating like you've described when I eat foods from the nightshade family (especially peppers give me a belly like I'm nine months pregnant). It's almost always a reaction to food (in my case) and I found that when I follow the AIP diet, the bloating goes away.
