I am worried about my sister. I know nothing about tg antibodies because mine are very low so never been something to think about. My sister has been on 150mcg levothyroxine for 17 years. Overcast few months a new doctor has lowered her dose to 100mcg because her TSH is suppressed. Same old story.
She hasn't had much help from her doc so I encouraged her to get a test from medichecks.
Results this morning were bad! Her TSH has risen to 0.8 from 0.02 but her T4 is now 12.8 (12-22) her T3 3.88 (3.1-6.8)
Her tg antibodies are off the scale at 1560. This was end of scale. Tpo was 14.6
This has sent my alarm bells ringing, should her tg antibodies be that high?
I was scared to suggest she gets her thyroid scanned as I'm sure our mother died of thyroid cancer. 32 years ago she had throat cancer which was too far gone by the time they found it and I can remember when she died she had a big lump on the front of her throat. My sister knows nothing about thyroid but I have always suspected she had hashimotos.
Are these results something to worry about?

As far as her blood tests are concerned, it's a shame you have yet another GP obsessed with TSH, when s/he should be concerned that freeT4 is crawling along the floor and free T3 is only 21% through range. She should be on more levo, not less ...
