Ive been placed by my doctor under the umbrella of Hashimoto's due to having another raised Tg antibody at 412. TPO are negative and always have been. Although normally a marker for cancer after having been in remission, from one article i read it points to atrophic thyroiditis..my thyroid is small and cancer free from the ultrasound scan i had 2 years ago. My other levels are almost optimal now but still symptomatic with the usual culprits and its only my folate level thats under the bottom range with an active b12 at 117 ( im told optimal b12 is 75).
Just wondering if anyone else has this and what their experience is/was?

Yes high TG antibodies can confirm autoimmune thyroid disease …though it’s rare for NHS to agree, they tend to only diagnose if TPO are high or TPO and TG antibodies are high
Significant minority of Hashimoto’s patients only have high TG antibodies and struggle to get diagnosed
If you have high levels of antithyroglobulin antibodies in your blood, it may be a sign of serious autoimmune disorder, such as Graves’ disease or Hashimoto thyroiditis.
Ultrasound scan sounds like it confirms Ord’s thyroiditis
Hi, I also have TG flagged high and no TPO. I had a hurthle cell adenoma and half thyroid removed in 2007 however TPO and TG wasn't tested until last year. At the time I went on Levo my TSH was 5 and only had subtle fatigue so it was still working back in 2010. I have no idea what the other half of my thyroid looks like now or if it's shriveled up but I do know that I'm extremely dependent upon every little mcg of Levo.
Yes I had raised TG antibodies but not TPO. I read somewhere that this can be an indication of low magnesium - I was about to start a magnesium glycinate supplement anyway - for migraine prevention - when I read this article. And yes, since taking magnesium my TG antibodies are down to normal and my migraines are also massively improved. Win Win!
Hi yes me. TG 425 /TPO 9. I was medicated 8 years ago (now up to 1 grain ndt and 50mcg Levo) for sub clinical by a lovely private gp who I went to for hrt. She randomly checked my antibodies at my last yearly appointment (not had them done before) and found the TG was high. She said nothing to worry about, but I took myself off for a neck ultrasound and the report says that I have a really small thyroid. I've never had a goiter, so I'm presuming it's Ords. Thanks to everyone who posts on here. It's really helpful.
