In the past I've had very low vitamin D along with dry skin, slow libido, and at times diminished sweating. Back in Feb my doc ran a blood panel and noticed that my vit d was very low. I was put on vitamin D2 50000iu for 8 weeks. My last dosage was the first week of April and up until 5days ago I felt great. I stopped having difficulty sweating, my skin became more hydrated, my libido was up, the I was even sleeping better. I wasn't really given a follow-up regemen probably due to covid 19 (we were supposed to follow up bloodwork,etc). However I did reach out to them 4weeks ago to give them a status update and to ask if there was anything I needed to do for follow up. They only suggested but D3 2000 or 4000. Unfortunately in the last 5 days it feels like slowing down again. I've started feeling dry again, my libido feels like it hit a brick wall and my hair, eyes are starting to feel dry again. Did I wait too long to start supplementimg after I finished my protocol?

I've no idea what the protocol is in the US, but here in the UK doctors rarely repeat Vit D testing after the loading doses have finished. It's essential to know your new level because your follow on dose is based on this, then you should continue to test every 3 months until you've reached the level recommended by the Vit D Council/Vit D Society, which is 40-60ng/ml (100-150nmol/L).
Looking at your profile your previous posts show you've had a Vit D problem going back 5 years. This is ridiculous and you should never have been in a position where you needed loading doses for deficiency in February of this year. You need to take charge of this yourself. It's possible in the UK for us to get private testing, can you do that in the US? If so then arrange a test, come back with the new result for further help on what dose would be appropriate now.
Once you've reached the recommended level then you'll need a maintenance dose to keep it there, which may be 2000iu daily, maybe more or less, maybe less in summer than winter, it's trial and error so it's recommended to retest once or twice a year to keep within the recommended range.
Doctors don't know, because they're not taught much about nutrients, but there are important cofactors needed when taking D3 as recommended by the Vit D Council.
D3 aids absorption of calcium from food and Vit K2-MK7 directs the calcium to bones and teeth where it is needed and away from arteries and soft tissues where it can be deposited and cause problems such as hardening of the arteries, kidney stones, etc.
D3 and K2 are fat soluble so should be taken with the fattiest meal of the day, D3 four hours away from thyroid meds if taking D3 as tablets/capsules/softgels, no necessity if using an oral spray.
Magnesium helps D3 to work. We need Magnesium so that the body utilises D3, it's required to convert Vit D into it's active form. So it's important we ensure we take magnesium when supplementing with D3.
Magnesium comes in different forms, check to see which would suit you best and as it's calming it's best taken in the evening, four hours away from thyroid meds if taking magnesium as tablets/capsules, no necessity if using topical forms of magnesium.
