So thanks to feedback from folk, i did the medicheck blood test after 4 months of propranalol and carbimazole. Initially, TSH was <0.03 and T4 was 54.5. So the question is, any sign of graves or hashimotos?

You haven't had the Grave's antibodies tested: TRAB or TSI. Tg and TPO antibodies are usually indicators of Hashi's, but the TPO is so low, it's rather doubtful they could ever be positive, even though antibodies fluctuate. And the Tg aren't that much over-range, either. Tg antibodies can be slightly over-range for a number of reasons, it's only if they're very high that they indicate Hashi's, as far as I know.

Having said that, 20% of Hashi's people never have over-range antibodies, so a negative test isn't conclusive. But, you do need to test the Grave's antibodies just to see what they are.

But not the antibodies that cause Graves and are used to confirm diagnosis.

Are you still on Carbimazole and propranolol ?

How do you feel

Ft4 and Ft3 now very low, so hypothyroid

Vitamin D is deficient

Low vitamin D obviously needs improving and GP should prescribe 1600iu everyday for 6 months

GP will often only prescribe to bring levels to 50nmol.

Some areas will prescribe to bring levels to 75nmol

leedsformulary.nhs.uk/docs/...

GP should advise on self supplementing if over 50nmol, but under 75nmol (but they rarely do)

mm.wirral.nhs.uk/document_u...

NHS Guidelines on dose vitamin D required

ouh.nhs.uk/osteoporosis/use...

But improving to around 80nmol or 100nmol by self supplementing may be better

ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/218...

vitamindsociety.org/pdf/Vit...

Once you Improve level, very likely you will need on going maintenance dose to keep it there.

Test twice yearly via vitamindtest.org.uk

Vitamin D mouth spray by Better You is very effective as it avoids poor gut function. There’s a version made that also contains vitamin K2 Mk7

It’s trial and error what dose we need, with hashimoto’s or Graves we frequently need higher dose than average

Government recommends everyone supplement October to April

Yes, still on propranalol 10mg x 4 daily plus carbimazole 20mg daily. I actually feel a lot better tbh, no longer fatigued etc. The reason i took the test was that i wanted data, the world has stopped due to covid and im wondering if i can reduce meds at some point but dont want to without the input from my endo. I will be following advice on vit D, thanks again

Suggest you email results to endo and ask how much you should reduce dose
