I was wondering if anyone has been able to get their Medicheck blood results faxed through to their Doctors surgery? They have refused to do it for me saying its to do with confidentiality, but surely if I have written and requested it they can't refuse.
Any ideas???

It may have something to do with the Data Protection Act. I think your dctor is making an excuse not to accept your results. If you print their results it's then like on headed notepaper with all Medichecks details.
I took a copy of my Medichecks to my GP appointment but wasn’t asked to leave it.. I had already handled a copy to the receptionist though asking for it to be scanned onto my records.
Thanks, will be taking to GP, but good idea to get receptionist to scan to records. Keeping fingers crossed, I get the impression from the whole practice that when you ask for something, we're questioning their abilities, especially the doctors, do we have gods roaming this earth???

It certainly seems that many doctors have a god-like complex. They don't like being questioned, they don't like it when the patient has knowledge of their conditon and they don't like discussion in my experience. Fortunately we have an Advanced Nurse Practioner at our surgery who does listen and likes to discuss things, I much prefer to have an appointment with him than the GPs.
